| Do You Need a Blue Suit, Grey Suit or Both?
You know yourself, and whether you get cold easily or not.
Even some big, tough guys are ‘freeze babies’ in cold weather. Some petite ladies have an astounding ability to stay warm.
You might be at one of the extremes, or somewhere in the middle not a freeze baby, not a natural furnace.
Generally speaking, there are ‘Blue Suit days’ and ‘Grey Suit days’ on the ice.
The simplest dividing line we have been able to find is 0 degrees F. When the wind chill factor is above zero, most of us wear Blue Suits. When it dips below zero, it’s a Grey Suit day.
Again, this is a rough rule of thumb. But it can help you choose a suit.
If you struggle to stay warm out there on the ice, you might be a Grey Suit person regardless of the conditions.
(P.S. these are the finest cold-weather raingear ever, for fishing open water.)
